YES. Features Cab Calloway, Illinois Jacquet, Arnett Cobb, Willis Jackson, Panama Francis, Fred Jackson, Tab Smith, Sir Charles Thompson, Paul Bascomb, Cat Anderson, Erline Harris, Morris Lane, tracks you definitely DON'T have on six collections already. It's a rawkin' jump/R&B sound, definitely should appeal to FAST fans out there. Plus it's seven bucks.
(i wouldn't call it jump blues)

also, Kevin O'Donnell's Quality Six, their first CD, has some lindy-able stuff in the Kansas City tradition, very enjoyable effort from a band related to the original Andrew Bird band (Andrew Bird played with SNZ)

I got this today. In fact, I'm ripping it while I type this. The CD is like a compilation CD that you'd put together - only stuff to spin. My only wish is that they'd put more than 12 tracks on the thing. Still, for what you get, it's a great deal.

I have mostly been trying to get stuff from their
Apollo Records series especially because of their historical significance. I especially like the Earl Hines and the Dukes Men, Jack McVea, Bobby Smith, and Coleman Hawkins. The Coleman Hawkins is a good document on the transitional period to bebop.
