[Answered] multiple tracks

So at some point I was clearly given CDs to rip at a time when I wasn't connected to the internet, as I have some very annoying unnamed files.

Here and there I have come across this "Yeahman" album name, I think there were 3 of them. I have basically got all the tracks for what I think is Yeahman 3, with as you can see a couple of names missing:


I suspect I have Yeahmans 2 and 1 too (are there more?), but freedb or however I managed to get these listings isn't working for me.

They're pretty crowd-pleasing/cheesy/been around the swing circuits forever, one of these mystery albums definitely has Nina's Love Me or Leave Me, also I Diddle, Sixteen Tons, All the Cats, Kwela Long... They're probably a good snapshot of 2008 or before!

Any help much appreciated! Sure I could just siphon out the ones I know, but would love to know more about the tracks I don't recognise...

Those are compilations Rob and Diane van Haaren used for teaching purposes. There are, to my knowledge, four discs floating around out there. Track name, bpm, artist name. Sorry about the ugly formatting--iTunes copy & paste does nasty things. This should get you the bits you miss, at least.

Also, please buy the original tracks if you like them. Nearly all of these are still copyrighted in the US. (The compilations should never have been floating around to begin with.)

So one of these mystery albums isn't a Yeahman after all, but something rather more bonkers - apart from maybe 2 or 3 tracks I almost wish I hadn't spent the time rooting them out with Shazam:



If anyone knows what 13 in this list would be, feel free to let me know! But man, what an odd playlist...

That's an easy one to identify: "Rigamarole" by Mora's Modern Rhymists - their sound is unmistakable! - from the album Call Of The Freaks. Highly recommend buying the album and all of their others as well - great stuff!
