Glenn Miller has a broadcast version with a bit more pump to it. It's on the 5 LP gold set. Good stuff/good sound.
Will big bands ever come back?

Yes I've got that - the sound is disappointing though, at least on the copies I have.

1950s LP version of what music from the 40s should sound like. What can one do? The sound on the 5 LP white GM album was far worse.
