And is there the live Shaw version of SSue on line?
Will big bands ever come back?

Hmmm, which BG Sweet Sue do you mean? There's an early version (pre-1935) that I don't have. Then there's the 1936 Small Group version(s) with a vibraphone intro and the 1938 Orchestra version with a distinct horn intro.

The only Armstrong version I have heard (and can find) is the 1933 Bluebird disc, can be heard here, and it has a very different intro.

The 36 BG version has an intro taken from an Armstrong recording, but not one of Sweet Sue, but of another recording entirely, IIRC.
