The new 'boxes are:
Lonnie Johnson
Stompin' Singers & Western Swingers
JATP
and
Jack Teagarden!
runs from 1928 to 1953! (as usual, distribution follows a bell curve -- most of it is ~1935-47)
i see Joop couldn't resist keeping the Town Hall concert off there, even though it's already on the Louis In The 40's box...
anyway, if you like Big T, this should set you up well... by no means is it essential floorfillin' material, though... (in my opinion.)

I got a lot of the 30's stuff - the Eddie Lang/Joe Venuti stuff is good - especially Beale St. Blues and After You've Gone.
I might get this for the 40's stuff.

So went to the radio station today and they already had the Teagarden Box set (as well as the JATP and Lonnie Johnson sets) waiting for me.
I'd have to disagree with the opinion that it isn't floor filling material. There's a lot of good stuff. Lots of songs I'll be using for dances in the future.
Another High recommendation for a proper box set from me.

Big T is cool but he doesn't get me "psyched"...best Proper Box Set (and most needed) was the Fats one...
