Is that the Rod Stewart stuff that's on the car commercial? If so, that's completely horrible. He's definitely reaching with that one.

Not necessarily the worst, but definitely one I love to hate ... just an acapella group trying to cash in on the "swing craze."

I kinda like Don Redman's "Hot and Anxious" which I always thought was basically the same tune.

Yeah, but Joe Jackson's take did not suck in the way that Rod Stewart or Ringo's did.

Also Ringo was a decade ahead of Joe Jackson.

I have played the Grateful Dead's version of "Truckin" before. It went over well. There are only certain times and places that it would work though.

It's kinda funny to listen to because for some of the tracks you just don't realize what it is until 30 seconds into the song and then you're like "I can't f*ckin' believe it."

PS - Does anyone else think Mr. Jefferson is the coolest guy there is?

LOL! I actually like ABC - I'd play it at a dance just for the fun of it. They cheated on Beat It - more reggae/ska than swing feel.

IF you have a "by request" night, using Taco as a threat if you don't get enough requests means that the booth gets crowded quickly!
