I am trying to source the set lists for the famous 1938 battle at the Savoy between Basie and Webb (and Rushing). Does anyone know if it is documented?
Any help would be great.

Hi Glenn
I don't think the Battle was recorded,
But if you want to pick up a good CD have a look at this one

The Basie recordings are very poor sound quality, but the Webb ones are very good. Well worth getting.
It seems many of the radio recordings have been lost. There was a lot of them. Webb did at liest 40, before he passed away.
