Acrobat Label

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Acrobat label, they're out of England? I've come across several at my favorite store, and while the price is right, I don't want to spend money on CD's with crappy sound quality.

Thanks for mentioning that - I have at one Acrobat CD, and I'm glad I gave it another listen. The one I've got is Harlem Jazz: The '30s. I think the sound quality is actually pretty good, considering the age of the recordings. The liner notes include the personnel and recording dates. The musicians include, among others:

Noble Sissle's Swingsters (Their track, "Blackstick," appears to be the same as the one from the Past Perfect Bechet Portrait. I prefer the sound quality on the Past Perfect one, but they're similar.)
Mills' Ten Blackberries
The Chocolate Dandies
Harlan Lattimore & His Connie's Inn Orchestra
Horace Henderson
Lucky Millinder.

Yes, I have a few of those.
Liner notes are great, recordings sound good.

From my understanding the label has gone bust, so they should be selling them off cheap. I friend Di picked some up in the past few months for under $5.

I really like them. The quality is better than I expected and such a wide variety of artists that I have not seen elsewhere.
