Great, now I want a set of JBL Hartsfields...
Thanks, John.
Thanks, John.

Haha! I know. That set which is playing a Chris Conner 45 rpm on Atlantic is incredible. And they are only recorded with a camcorder.lipi wrote:Great, now I want a set of JBL Hartsfields...

Incorrect! All of sound in my videos are original recorded by camcorder microphone and never mastered. You can see how we did it through this video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7Kwdn1kg-M&hd=1
Also - high praise for the set in the Cafe Cortez in Japan. Great sound.
They have some other videos, too. They are very detailed and obsessive when they move speakers in for installation. One guy has an eating place about the size of this post box and they move in two huge Hartsfields into "Mr. Abe's small restaurant". And "Mr. T's small room".
The speaker prices are colossal. Go look.

That Ellington sidemen recording is phenomenal! Good quality sound too, considering it's a video of the record playing.Eyeball wrote:Highlighting the speakers.

Ya- it's a nice scarce one, so I popped it on there even though the speakers were not those Hartsfields....or are they? That Ellington sidemen recording is phenomenal! Good quality sound too, considering it's a video of the record playing.

Forever true. Mucho more so than LPs or (haha) CDs. Were there ever cassette collectors?Love 78s... So many undiscovered gems still gathering dust...
