Spinnin' The Webb
Does anyone know where I can get it? I've been having one hell of a time finding it and it's an album I've been really wanting for my collection.

Purchase the following albums and you have a complete collection of Chick Webb studio recordings:
CC - Chick Webb: 1929 - 1934
CC - Chick Webb: 1935 - 1938
Decca - Ella Fitzgerald: The Early Years, Part 1
From there you can suppliment those with a few live recordings:
Drive Archive - Chick Webb: Standing Tall
Don't bother with the "Spinnin The Webb" album, as it's just a little off of each of the two CC albums.

well I've got all of those.
You'll need to add Count Basie & has orchestra 1937, Chick webb & his Orchestra 1936.
The recordings on this album are very different than Chick Webbs standards. There are some very cool songs on this one.
There are some other recordings I also have of Chick Webb with Lious Armstrong.
There is a few other Chick Webb recordings that are not on the Melodie Jazz Classic Label.
EG: In the Groove at the Grove
There are a few other, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Yeah, when you factor in the live recordings it could very well be an endless search.

I really am enjoying Standing Tall, it's good to have because it's some of the last recordings made of Chick Webb before he died.
