Woody Herman and Duke Ellington together on "C Jam Blues" 1946

From 1946 - a live performance, likely from radio - great show!

New to me. Does anyone have more info on this and was it an entire broadcast? Love to hear the rest.

It may be the only V-Disc side issued from that gig, but what is the gig? It's live with applause and hollering at the end.

Oh, shoot! Sorry. I didn't realize I had left that out.

It's from the third Esquire Concert, January 16th 1946.
