How big a monitor do YOU need?

iTunes can list 45 songs on my 7.5 inch tall laptop display. To view my entire iTunes library as a single page at that same resolution, my display would need to be 124 yards tall!

I realize yard is not a universal measuere of length, but I picked it in honor of footbal (American football) starting up. A football field is an easy visualization for me.

I googled the information superhighway and have determined that an American football field is 120.0 yards long which is 109.7 metres.

When people talk about things in terms of "the length of a football field" they general mean the 100 yards (91.44 m) between the end zones. By comparision a real football pitch is similar in size, 110 yards or 100 meters or so, but of course there is no standard size, just a range.

As everyone knows 1 yard = 216 songs.

Of course if I were to get my semi-annual call to DJ, I'd only have about 12 yards available that I know well enough and have BPM'ed

Not that I don't know my collection - I mean the rest is mostly jazz not suitable for dancing.
