Trying to identify a song? Here's the place!
Post your song ID questions here and someone is sure to have an answer for you.
Besides, it's kind of a game for us music nerds.
Be sure to offer up as many clues as you can, or better yet include a link to a YouTube video or sound file.
Once you have an answer, please rename your thread subject as follows:
[Answered] Song Title, Artist Name
... and don't forget to thank your successful song identifier(s)!
Song identifiers, please be specific when listing songs, giving the artist and album name along with the song title. Too often there are many different recordings of a particular song by a particular artist. If you want to be really helpful, give a link to the album at allmusic.com or some other online music resource.
Thanks everyone!

Very nice, thank you Reuben!
BTW, I think this discussion should be in the Song Id folder too.

No problem, thanks for the back end work Jesse... and you might have noticed I ripped off some of your text for the note above, haha.
Thanks Lorenzo, will get that moved over soon.
I've moved everything over that was obvious from the thread titles, but there are sure to be others, so if anyone notices more that should be in this folder just post them here and I'll move them over as I have the time.
Thanks.

Reuben, this is one more thread that should be moved to to the 'Song IDs' folder and should get labeled as '[Answered] Algiers Hoodoo Woman, Dr. Michael White', when you have time.
I'm done checking the couple ones I contributed to, so I won't bother anymore with such requests.
Thank you,
Lorenzo

Okay, I think I'm done identifying answered threads. Now you can go in and easily see which ones are left to tackle. Have fun!
Interesting side note: Didn't actually count, but I think "Ridin' and Jivin' by Earl Hines is the most asked about song.
