According to my discography
http://www.lordisco.com/ -
Definition of Swing by Hudson-Delange Orchestra was recorded in New York on December 20, 1937
It was released on vinyl as follows:

OK - It is on the LP called EASY ROCKER issued on the SOUNDS OF SWING label.
Issued under Will Hudson's name only as all of the tracks are from 1940, EXCEPT DEFINITION OF SWING from 1937 by the H/DeL orch.
SOUNDS OF SWING - LP-120
I have it here in front of me. I dont have a CD recorder, but if anyone wants to bring one by, burn away! Just have to put the new band on my turntable platter unless you have your own rig portable.
Happy hunting!
Will big bands ever come back?

SoS LP120 LP - There should be a reference telling what all these abbreviations stand for.

Lots of people will envy you having that John

. Reassuringly, I think that track listing matches the information on
http://www.lordisco.com/
And there are loads of other tracks recorded between 1936 and 1941 by:
Hudson/De Lange Orchestra
Will Hudson And His Seven Swingsters
Will Hudson And His Orchestra

I'd be happy to make copies if I had 'do-able' audio equipment. Best I could do would be a cassette (!!!)
Bet you can find that LP for under 5 bucks on eBay.

I looked on eBay. Nada. You could send the LP to Gemzombie, he can digitize it and send it back . . . .

Recorded the song off of XM today, so now I at least have a copy of that one song, but I'm looking forward to getting a cleaner copy from the LP, along with the rest of the songs which I'm sure will be great.

Ha! There's now a Hallmark CD out named 'Easy Rocker', which contains 'Definition and Swing' and some other rare tracks. A dub of the SoS LP it seems.
http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Rocker/dp/B007QT894M
It sounds as though the first half of the LP was dubbed at the wrong speed! D'oh! At least 'Definition of Swing' is at the right tempo...
