Ina Ray Hutton and Her Melodears

Jazz Hour just added a lot of broadcast albums to the European branch of eMusic, and one of them is Ina Ray Hutton's "1943-1944 Spotlight Band Broadcasts".

I'll report back when I've listened to the 30 sec clips...

Work life has trumped swing life this past month. I haven't forgotten your request and will post something about a few of the albums I mentioned this weekend.

Nothing that really excited me, except for a fairly heated rendition of "King Porter Stomp", but that's only off 30 sec clips of course.

The 30s stuff with her original band is much better.

If I'm feeling down I just dial up one of her Youtube clips for a quick cure
