Did I find a little treasure. . .

#1 Post by shaugran » Wed Oct 25, 2006 4:37 am

yesterday when I went into a used CD store and bought Louis Armstrong Plays W.C. Handy?

The AllMusic review said it was the best album he made in the 50's.

Or am I just getting on the bandwagon a little late and it's already well known that the album is a must for any deejay's collection, especially if you're deejaying blues?

Great album! It was discussed in the danceable louis armstrong thread.

Your mention reminded me to go back and listen to the album which then inspired me to listen to another sweet album: Cat Anderson - Plays W.C. Handy. Thanks!

Man, better late than never. Time to read the threads that talk about what essentials one should have in their collection.
