Live at the Lindy Binge - The CD!
The California Historical Jazz Dance Foundation and JiveJunction.com are proud to present the first track off of the forthcoming CD, "Live at the Lindy Binge," by none other than those masters of great jazz music, all legends in their own right, collectively called The Dream Team. From fast barn burners like "I Got Rhythm" to the slow hard groove of "Buddy Bolden's Blues," The Dream Team took their unique sound and made each song their own for a once-in-a-lifetime event that proved that great swing music and great swing dancing are still alive and are still capable of kicking your ass. If you were able to attend the Binge, then you remember how amazing this band was - and if you missed it, then it's time to start being jealous.

Why? The term swing is so broad. I mean Christ, Ron is a "swing DJ."yedancer wrote:If you do not buy this CD when it comes out, I think you should question whether or not you are a "swing DJ."

The band was awesome, and anyone who doesn't agree with my opinion is a fool, and thus, probably not a "swing DJ." It's completely logical.

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

It's similar in that it has neither a shuffle rhythm or a walking bass line.yedancer wrote:I don't get it.Greg Avakian wrote:Wow, it's like that song from the bar scene in the first Star Wars movie!!!

(actually, having been there, I feel the lindy in it, early lindy, but lindy.. I wonder if, hearing only the mp3, I would have also thought it too 20's sounding..)
