Sounding Fresh

Last weekend I did 5 ½ hours in the booth at Melbourne’s Swing City. It went very well, and there was almost (1 song) no reputation of tracks.
Then I DJed the following weekend. I found it very difficult to sound fresh and different.
If you are doing a lot of hours in the booth, how do you find the best way to sound fresh and different every time? The last thing I want to do, is sound the same each time I DJ.

1. Look at the artists you like to play a lot, then pick a couple songs that you've never DJed by them befor and forceyourself to use them.

2. When I'm at home I put iTunes on random and let it go. Half the time I come across music I'd forgotten about and put it in a a list for the next time I DJ.
