How many of you guys are using a laptop for DJ'ing? i’m using one. took me for ever to get all my CD's on it. but i’m really happy with it. I actually think i have more flexibility by making a play list and modify it as i go if needed.

I'm using Windows Media Player and to the most part wma files with 160 kbs minimum. as soundcard an external device (Audiophile USB). works great for me.

I would be happy to hear other opinions.

I DJ off an Audiotron and some software I wrote myself.

Love it.

A few weeks ago, for various reasons, I did a short gig and didn't feel like bring the equipment along, so just brought a few books of CDs along.

It was like pulling teeth!

In future, only in case of equipment failure.
