I justed moved to London and I'm wondering if there are any London DJ's here. I would love to start to DJ here soon (and I think I will) but I would like to discuss the music played here since it's so different to what I'm used to.
Do you have anything to tell me about the music played in London?
Anyone from London?

A few years ago, they were still combatting the "Syroc" and "Jive" dance crowds.
Check www.swingland.com. They were the principal ones carrying the torch when I last visited.

Yes, I'm in London. I generally like the music played, but I haven't been to any Swing events in other countries. How does it differ from what you are used to?
A friend of mine just taught over there. Try this website: http://www.bluesdance.org.uk Dan & Stephanie, the two who run the board, are trying to get something going in their area.

The best place to get onto the musicality of the European & UK swing dance scene is the Good Night Sweet Heart Event 11-13 February.
It is the first weekend event of the European Swing season and 1 of the top 2 International UK Lindy events.
http://www.gnsh.co.uk
So if you WANT to get the latest Swing musicality and network with the top of Europe's swing teachers, dancers and DJs then be there
Also on the Friday night there is an International Swing DJ contest. Enter it, if you still can! Even if you don't win you will be accorded VIP status and get to meet the professionals behind the scenes.
Talk to Joseph and Trisha Sewell, the organisers by emailing mail@jiveswing.com
