Cog seems to work okay. It's pretty utilitarian. I just drag a track from iTunes. It seems a little quirky but it does the job and I don't preview a lot so it works for me. It does not display the iTunes library but I just use it to drag one song at a time but I haven't used it extensively. I'd be interested in hearing how this set up works for you.
I just tried Cog and I like that you can drag from itunes. I haven't tried playing it for long periods to see if problems occur but it is great for previewing especially since you can pick a soundcard in the preferences.

For Mac users, there's also a new version of djay, which looks promising -

I've been playing with the Mac-only 'djay 2' -

- and it seems very good, once you get used to the way it works.

It integrates well with iTunes, allowing you to choose from any iTunes playlist, and with a USB sound card, lets you preview different tracks while playing. If you're using a Mac with iTunes, I recommend giving it a try.
