Chuck Cecil - Southern California big band DJ.

In radio since 1942. Spinning big band sides in LA since 1956.

Used to show up with his wife at many dances and clubs like The Derby back in the Swing revival hey-day.

Super nice guy.

More a big band DJ than strictly a "Swing DJ", but he rarely plays anything too awful. And he doesn't drone on like some of the old timers on public radio in this country. He gives you some facts and a bit of patter and he lets the records play.
Will big bands ever come back?

Oh - and for years he has done a "Big Band Countdown" of the most popular records on this day or that day in any given year.
