Thank you all for your advice on the eve of DJing my first exchange. After much work and dancing, SoFlex 2004 is finally over.

It was an absolute blast!

My first set was on Thursday and of course we started late, which added to the butterflies. After about 30 minutes I was able to calm down and have a good time. Luckily, that good time extended to the whole weekend, and I was really happy with most of the sets I did.

I think my learning curve jumped up a bit and hopefully I've become more confident and "leveled up" as DJ, to use geeky roleplaying terminology.

Thanks again for the advice, stories and the like.

Did you pace yourself?

You did a great job if I didn't know otherwise I would have thought it was old hat for you to dj at lindy exchanges.
