I just got this CD burner today and will comment on it. I got it for $108 with a $20 rebate -- (so $88 total - which is about $45 more than a good 52x CD burner). You can get a white one for about $20 cheaper.

Its only 44x speed but it does 24x RW (with Mt. Rainier support) which is the top right now and lets you make editable audio CD-RWs much more easily. A nice feature that I will actually use.

The main reason I got it though was because of DiscT@2, a technology that let's you burn text and graphics onto the CD itself in unused space. I'm a little disapointed in its performance with lighter dye media (very light and almost invisible - only suitable for large text). So it looks like I'll be buying a lot more of those bright color CDs.

It also has Advanced Audio Master recording which is supposed to make your CDs more reliable with less jitter. The offset is that your CD will hold less music (63mins with 650MB, 68min with 700MB, 79mins with 870MB discs). To me its worth it on a number of my mixes.
