YouTube videos cannot be advanced any longer!?!?

Last few days I have tried to move along thru slow parts in random videos and when I try to, the video slides back to the very beginning...each time.

Anyone know the scoop on this?

It seems to work just fine for me (Firefox, Win7 machine).

Firefox - OK. Google Chrome - bad.

Also weird - sometimes I will click on full screen and it over-screens it with maybe 40% of the picture missing. If I open the video in a new window, not just a tab, it works.
