i had been leaning towards the extigy (esp with the $50 rebate offer), but i really like the idea of the indigo echo pc card since it is much smaller and doesnt need an external power source. i want the ability to cue a song and to get better sound quality, and it looks like either one will do those things. any good reason to go with the extigy over the echo?

it looks like the indigo "dj" card wont be out until late sept anyway, so i guess i'll have to make do until then and borrow an extigy for now.

I'd say definitely go for the Echo.

What kind of laptop are you using this on? Do you really need two independent outputs?

I decided I didn't *really* need the Indigo DJ edition, as the Tibook's onboard audio hardware is pretty clean already and works well as a cue output.

If you're just going to be replacing your master out, I'd save some cash and get the standard Indigo.

i have a sharp actius mv10.

i guess it makes sense that i could just cue out of the headphone jack and use the regular indigo card as my main output. thanks for pointing that out.

This "Echo" card seems to be a much better solution than the extigy that I've been using for a long time.

I know nothing about it, does it work on a PC? Where can I pick one up?

it works in a pc, in the pc card slot, and can be found at guitarcenter.com or any other big sound store online or in the real world.

Check out their website

Echo makes all sorts of Pro audio equipment. These cards are really quite nice.
