DJ 1800 Beginner - Playlist creation - Library browsing

#1 Post by zaac » Mon Feb 02, 2009 10:08 am

Hi all Smile

I just bought a macbook 13", my very first mac.

I was DJ on PC, using an excellent software for managing my library called
J. RIVER media center. Anyway, i finally found a boring way to convert my library to Itunes PC , than to import it to Mac.

Now i'm looking for a dj software. The problem is that under Itunes Mac, you cannot drag and drop a file from itunes to a player. (On PC, i was working with my library manager and two instances of mp3 player, each one them plugged to an output device for cue and master - And then just by drag and drop from library manager two each player with live playlist creation).

I'm testing DJ 1800 since a few day (demo version)

So here you find my first question : it's not possible to drag and drop, one by one, songs to a cd player and queue the songs ? I can drag and drog in once few files, but not one by one ? i suppose i should use the four cd players instead ? or is there any way to queue the songs once by once ?

My second question or remark that it would be great to record the browsing state in the library (playlist folders expanding state) in order to get the same view when reloading the library or relaunching DJ1800.

Thanks a lot for your help. It's a really great software.
