Remaindered Virgin Boomtubes: you want this.

Hey folks. Haven't checked in here in a while...
Just thought you'd want to know about how cheap the Virgin Boomtubes are now...
They're portable speakers in both a small and "ex" version... the ex has a subwoofer and li battery. the small one is lightweight and runs on AA's.
I actually bought the small version at the original price of $100... and felt great about that purchase... but now the small is like $30 (orig $100) and large is $60 (orig $200) (prices on Amazon, with free shipping). apparently virgin electronics is finished and now everything's super cheap.
these units are fantastic... they compare favorably with systems that are far more expensive and heavy.
i love my small version... it forms the power behind my "stereo system" in my dorm room here in Israel...
in a DJing context, you could definitely use these suckers for a room/small house party... you could pack 'em when going to work a small dance to pull out in a pinch, or to play while the system's being taken down...

(I read one article that suggested you should buy a different 1/8 male-male connector for the boomtube ex, so keep that in mind.)
