But wathever you do, don't buy fujitsu drives. The first one I had lasted 4 months until crash, luckily I managed to save my data before it died permanently. So they gave me a new one - it lasted amazingly 48 HOURS before a total crash that left it unusable.
After some persuasion I managed to get a drive of another brand for free from the store since the fujitsus crashed on me. Since then that store never sells fujitsu drives to their customers anymore (appearantly their support to the store also was below all expectations)

A portable drive should also be durable. And have good tech support behind it. And the firmware should be decent.
