Anyone who has seen me drinking in Austin knows that this is a tenuous engagement, although I have been very good lately.

Hey hey hey!

Trudy's is wearing off and I found the right ALX thread! Thank you to the event organizers and congratulations to Jerry, smackdown Texas DJ.

The parts of ALX I was able to be at were wonderful.
Thanks Nathan for juggling around the DJ schedule even at the last minute. I loved being able to DJ in the blues room.

Thanks to Greg for sharing some wonderful music moments with me.

Meeting Gatemouth Brown at the Sunday night event was an absolutely random, wonderful surprise. Also, hanging with Greg and Dave was great, too. Revitalized my faith in humanity and music. :-)

You know what else was cool, how well the Shorty Dave/Steve Guttenberg joke worked out at Sinus.

Josh and I told the guys a little bit about him, but the execution was so spot on.

Kudos to Nate Dogg and the rest of the ALX crew for yet another - surprise surprise - kick ass weekend. Great people, great dancers, great music - the *perfect* vibe for an exchange weekend.

And thanks to Lawrence for being such a great host and going above and beyond what you expect out of lindy exchange hosts.

And I got to play paintball! Woo hoo! (I'm still sore and still have tons of welts!)

Re: Steve Guttenberg. Come on guys, I'm not really like that, am I? LOL!

We described you as very enthusiastic New York DJ.

In the movie, Steve Guttenberg played a very enthusiastic New York DJ, one with black curly hair.

It worked out as a good as any inside reference they have ever done.

Every time Guttenberg would go off an how wonderful the Village People were, you could see Shorty Dave raving about the Basie 100.

No, Dave, you are not. Steve Guttenberg is a MUCH better disco roller skater. 8)
