the GNSH event in London, was a blast, interesting as well, The friday nite world championships had DJ's representing different country's with the home country of the UK acually having 2 dj's.

I accepted the invatation knowing I would be nothing more then a sacrificial lamb to those that wanted the driving traditional Lindy Hop music.......after a blow out, and a couple close split decisions.......
I came away with the win to bring the world cup to the USA.

Using my weapon of choice ,the sharp actius av18 laptop,
I knocked out my final competitior with Harlem Congo,
after weaking him with some Madam Dynamite...LOL

THE real winner here? hahaha The dancers ofcourse...

I'll be back for next years world championships to defend the title!!!

hey, lets see, there were 10 countrys representing, 2 from home team (england).

basically it was tournament Ladder, draw your opponent, flip a coin to go first or last, and then you play 3 songs. thats it, crowd decides, split decisions are decided by dancers stepping to either side of the floor, to have their vote counted.

the last two DJs go to the final which is only playin 2 songs.

Huge event, nice workshops and great dances....I was pleasently surprised I had never been to this event.

Sounds pretty cool. Congrats on the victory!

i'm not sure what it's short for, but Jsp Records ( http://www.jsprecords.com/ ) is one of those Euro labels like Proper Records that's releasing well mastered versions of old classics. If you search towerecords.com or bn.com by label you can get sound samples from their catalog.

It might be the same version, i don't have the box in front of me but i'm pretty sure some of the material is recorded elsewhere. For example, there's also a version of the Eel on boxset too.
