This isn't an "official" promo yet -- just sharin' some info
Pitt Stop Lindy Hop is coming!
November 21-23 in Pittsburgh, PA
Bands:
- Roger Humphries Big Band is awesome (Saturday night)
- Boilermakers are awesome (Fri. late)
- Afterthought is awesome (Sat. late)
and, debuting in the dance scene, Sandy Staley (Friday night) (i'll be hearing her group in a couple weeks -- i'll tell you if she's awesome or not)
Special programming (DJs take note!):
- Saturday afternoon, 3-5 pm, with radio host Mike Plaskett. He does a syndicated program, Rhythm Sweet & Hot, which is great. He will be spinning classic records and talking about them. I'm not sure exactly how it's going to work but it will be great, I am telling you that.
Venues:
- Palisades, I haven't been there but I hear it's great.
- The famous IBEW hall with that famous floor, on the South Side
- Wightman Center, home of our weekly dances, with a gorgeous room and a great floor (and maybe two dance rooms)
T-shirts:
are better than last year's design (the logo is smaller than it looks in the preview)
