Lone Star Championships 2010

#1 Post by babyscott » Fri Sep 04, 2009 9:22 am

We would like to invite you to Lone Star Championships' third year! Each year we've seen Lone Star get bigger and better, and this year promises even more.

- Even more of the world's finest dancers and instructors teaching amazing workshops.
- Multiple nights of music from the Live Music Capital of the World's best jazz musicians.
- Inspiring competitions and performances - along with a special new contest.

But one thing hasn't changed. Lone Star is a social event first. Not only because we plan the event such that you get TONS of social dance, but also because the competitions are social dance competitions - Jack and Jills and Strictlys. Think of this as an exchange... on steroids.

Happy Holidays from Lone Star

#4 Post by babyscott » Wed Dec 30, 2009 11:59 am

Happy Holidays everyone!
We wanted to send a quick reminder that we are approaching the last days to sign up online. Here's the breakdown:
January 4th - last day we are accepting online registrations paying by check
Januray 12th- last day of online registrations paying by paypal.
January 13th and beyond - Price increases and you must pay at-the-door price.

We are just 3 weeks away! :)

Here is a little recap of what you are looking forward to:
* 7 top tier instructors teaching classes on Saturday and Sunday
* Live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday
* 4 contests with multiple levels, so everyone has a place to compete
* Attendees from all over the world
* 20+ hours of social dancing
* Small's Paradise (you have to come to find out what it is)

* Our promise to do everything in our power for you to have an awesome time. :)

Check out some quotes from Last year:

"I looooooove LoneStar! I've gone the last 2 years and have had a blast both times! The locals are welcoming and everyone who comes is encouraging. I left Austin feeling encouraged and humbled by the words of encouragement that I received. Even the security guard at the airport had nice thing to say when he checked my bag to find my LoneStar trophy (they must've thought I was going to use it as a throwing star or something). When he learned it was a trophy, he congratulated me and asked what a jack and jill was. There's nothing like texas hospitality to make an event great!"

"I really enjoyed the band and the contests were way more fun than expected! I'll definately be coming back to this event!"

"Bonus gifts, included in the weekend pass, were: unique venues, southern hospitality and spring-like weather in the middle of winter."
