Don’t miss this great event! Heading into its third year, Swing in the Colony is located on the Central Coast, in Atascadero, California. With five live bands, two days of classes, and after hours dancing there is something for everyone.

Bands will include Jonathan Stout and the Campus Five, John Reynolds and the Hollywood Hot Shots, Solomon Douglas Swingtet, Dawn Lambeth and the Usonia Jazz Band, as well as the San Luis Obispo Cal Poly Jazz Band.

Kyle Smith will be our head DJ for the weekend and keep you on your toes during the Jack & Jill and Lindy Hop contests we are offering.

Our instructor line up includes: Nick Williams, Sylvia Sykes, Ria DeBiase, Joel & Alison Plys, Erik Robison & Sylvia Skylar, Ben Yau & Sheri Kang, Mikey Pedrosa & Nikki Marvin, and Bromley Palamountain & Jean Ma.

Housing has opened up, so if you will need housing for the weekend, be sure to sign up now! (Registration is required in order to be considered for housing). Local hotels are filling up fast, and *will* sell out, so if your plans include a hotel, set up your plans now!

Don't forget that this year Swing in the Colony will feature five live bands including: Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five, John Reynolds and the Hollywood Hot Shots, The Solomon Douglas Swingtet, Dawn Lambeth and the Usonia Jazz Band, and the Cal Poly Jazz Band.

Registration News

* Register prior to October 5th and be entered into a drawing to win some great door prizes. Prizes will be announced at the Welcome Reception (no need to be present to win).
* We will only be able to guarantee T-Shirts for those who have registered for them prior to October 5th, as we will need to order place our order after that date.
* Please register if you are planning on coming even if you are not able to pay until you arrive, as this helps us estimate the total number of participants, thus allowing us to adjust the event to suit you best!

* The Best Western Colony Inn will only be holding rooms until October 5th for Swing in the Colony and they only have a few rooms left, be sure to reserve your room now!
