It was an amazing event last year, and I encourage all of you to come out if you are interested in hearing/meeting some of the greats of Lindy Hop and Tap. Dawn's performance at the cabaret last year was really something.

And this year Ernestine will be performing with Chester Whitmore's band - their band was specatcular last year.

Just a quick update for y'all, it was really incredible to be able to dance to Ernestine Anderson at the Century Ballroom last Saturday night.

She did an hour set with Opus One, Chester Whitmore's big band; she did mostly new material in her sets, but ended with "Never Make Your Move Too Soon", her signature song.

She sounded great for being almost 79! and she has a very unique rhythmic way of phrasing which made it really fun to dance to. She is one of the last living connections to Seattle's Jackson St. era and it was an amazing experience.
