I will be in Paris for the next couple of months for work and have been looking around at what is happening in Europe. Two things that caught my eye were:

Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzerland
http://www.jazzascona.com/

and

Swing Crash Festival in Como Italy
http://www.flyingalligators.com/program.html

Both look interesting. Ascona is a New Orleans style jazz festival (and has some great bands and performers from Australia). Swing Crash is more music and teaching - features Royal Crown Revue for first time in Italy and Harlem Hot Shots.

I will have to see how far my budget stretchs to fit these in :-)

Also looking forward to checking out all the great Paris jazz clubs (and dancing on the banks of the Seine).

Check out www.herrang.com for the Herräng Dance Camp, which is up and running the whole of July, one hour by car from Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, Sweden.

It's run by people from the Harlem Hot Shots, and features Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz, Tap, Balboa/Bal-Swing among other things, and they bring in top Swedish jazz musicians some of the nights.
