CLASS SIZE AND TRACKS
Last year CJ tripled in attendance and although we added a third venue, the class sizes were larger than we like. So, this year we have 4 tracks of classes in order to accomodate all of the dancers and to keep class sizes down. With this in mind, we still anticipate CJ selling out early so please sign up in advance to ensure your spot.

MASTERS TRACK
This year we will be adding a masters track that will be audition only. This track is meant to offer the highest level of classes to our most advanced dancers. The audition will be held on Saturday morning at 10am and the masters track will be limited in size.

THE JUMP SESSION SHOW
This year we have a huge treat for you...we are producing a one hour show called The Jump Session: Jazz through the Ages on Friday night. It is the story of jazz dance from the early 1900's to the 1940's. It will feature the CJ instructors and many other performers in tap, jazz, lindy hop, blues, cakewalk, snakehips, charleston and more. The show will be performed to a live 10 piece big band and emcee'd by Sean Morris. This will be a highlight of the weekend; something you will most definitely not want to miss!!

Hey there,

I have started a Camp Jitterbug group/forum on myspace. Check it out at http://groups.myspace.com/campjitterbug . It is a great way to meet and communicate with other campers and get excited for the big event!

Also, we have someone who is helping out of towners match up with hosts...click on the link above and visit the hosting thread to get more details on how to find a host.

We have several important Camp Jitterbug updates, so please read carefully!

JUMP SESSION SHOW
As you probably know, the JS is sold out. However, more spots may open up so be sure to add your name to the waiting list by emailing Tonya at jitterbugclub@yahoo.com . You will be contacted IF you are offered a spot. If we do not contact you, then you did not get in.

JUMP SESSION WILL CALL
If you have confirmed tickets for JS, please arrive early to pick up your tickets at will call. We suggest arriving between 7:00-7:15pm.

FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE
Even if you do not attend or get into the JS show, you can still go to the Friday night dance featuring the Solomon Douglas Swingtet. Campers $10/General Public $15 9:00pm-midnight

COMPETITIONS SIGN UPS
Competition slots will sell out...so sign up for the competitions EARLY. Competition sign ups will open on Friday night from 5:30-7:30pm at the Knights of Columbus lobby.

INDIVIDUAL CLASS SIGN UPS
Individual class sign ups will be available at the door on Saturday morning...if there is room! Be sure to show up EARLY (10am sharp) because tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Individual classes are $20 per class.

MASTERS TRACK AUDITION
IMPORTANT!!! We have decided to have the audition for the masters track at 9:45am SHARP. All campers must audition. If you did not specify that you are auditioning, please do so by emailing Tonya at jitterbugclub@yahoo.com so we have an idea on the size of the track.

BEGINNERS TRACK
If you did not specify that you are taking the beginners track, please do so by emailing Tonya at jitterbugclub@yahoo.com so we have an idea on the size of the track. If you have been dancing 6 months or less, you should be in the beginners track!

CHANGE OF PLANS FOR SUNDAY NIGHT DANCE
IMPORTANT: In order to make sure EVERYONE can enjoy dancing on Sunday night and not wait in line, we have a new plan for Sunday night. We will have TWO venues for the dance: The Century Ballroom AND Pravda Studios (one block away from eachother). This will provide 7500 sq ft of dancing space (3 times the space as last year). The Century Ballroom will feautre the Ham Carson Quintet and Pravda Studios will be the location for ALL COMPETITIONS THAT NIGHT and will feature awesome dj's. The admission price stays the same...you will get into both venues for one admission price.

JAM BAND: CALLING ALL MUSICIANS
We are thinking of having another Jam Session like last year. We are planning on having it at the Sunday after hours, but that could change. We will keep you updated. If you are a musician and want to be a part of this, please email Tonya at jitterbugclub@yahoo.com .

WE NEED HOSTS!
Seattle has been doing an awesome job of really stepping up and hosting our out of towners...THANK YOU!!! Even with all of this generosity, we are still have a few more homeless out of towners. If you can host any dancers, please email Max (our housing coordinator) at maximus@swingangels.net

CAMP JITTERBUG IS ALMOST SOLD OUT
Right now we have 375 campers...we are going to cut it off at 400, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible! There is still room in the Beginners Track, so spread the word to your friends, or if you want to do lead/follow role reversal, this would be a great way to learn.
