Went pretty well ... I'll have some time to list the CDs over the weekend (I'm still cleaning out the mess of things in my apartment left over from the festival and going over paperwork) ... general response was that people were really enjoying the visceral feeling of putting quarters in a juke box.

I'm not trying to be pushy, but I am curious as to how it went. When you have time, I'd love to read some more details.

As an organizer, I wasn't paying attention to what was playing in particular, although what I heard was good ... it was funny at the beginning of the night because a bunch of DJs and instructors got in early and front-loaded the juke box with some really good music. A lot of the people attending remarked that they really like the fact that there was a real jukebox there that they could pick music from. They really enjoyed the variety of music there, and, as a one time deal, it was well worth the effort.

Here's the CDs I created ... I did them pretty much on the fly, just the day of to help fill up the juke box:

I'll post the rest of the CDs tonight ... I've got to get to work now. One thing, though ... I was talking with some people at the afterhours and they were surprised when I told them that I wasn't keeping the CDs and was tossing them out instead. They just didn't understand the fact that a DJ's CD represented a sample of the all of the work they put into their hobby/career.

EDIT: Couldn't get to SwingDJs last night ... will post the rest tomorrow.

lol. I was really tired Sunday night and had to work the next day so I didn't go out to late night; I think I would have been tempted to program my selections so I think this is funny. I am very interested in what the normal dancer (ie not a DJ/instructor) selected as what they wanted to dance to - Martin you should have set up a web cam or something ;-)
