I assume your link is wrong. Are you referring to this video?
If so, that is the classic version of "On The Sunny Side Of The Street" by Dizzy Gillespie off of the album The Champ. This track used to be spun ALL THE TIME! Love it!

Re: Harlem 2015 JB and Tatiana
Thanks for the clarification. Confusing since the two videos have the same title.
The song you are trying to ID is "Sugarfoot Stomp", and I am pretty sure are right that it is the live Ella Fitzgerald recording from the Live at the Savoy 1939-40 collection. Can't confirm 100% because I can't seem to find my copy of the CD at the moment and strangely don't have it on my computer (will have to remedy that soon!). I don't think this collection is available digitally, at least not here in the US, but it is well worth buying the CD!

Thanks Jesse
An amazing tune.
I will look for it too . I have several albums of the live radio and the energy is always so much higher than in the studio recordings.
I can't wait for the Bill Savory collection to come out ( if it ever does - In the US you have stretched copyright beyond reason )

I don't see this happening any time soon. I listened to it on Tuesday, well about half of it anyway. Some of it was already issued such as the Martin Block broadcast with Fats, Louis, Big T, Wettling. Regardless, it isn't particularly well catalogued at the moment and I didn't get the feeling that there's anything like the funding available to move on a project like you're hoping for.philippecrhk wrote:Thanks Jesse
