Sounds quite a bit like the Bechet-Spanier Big Four 1940 version, especially the intro. That's an instrumental, though. This is probably a modern recording inspired by that one, perhaps by a European band to judge by the singer's accent.

Tommy Dorsey - Recorded on October 31, 1938

Slower than the above version, but I like this one very much. Good arrangement. The YouTube poster has remastered this and it sounds great!

Definitely based on the fantastic Bechet-Spanier Big Four version, but yes a modern reinterpretation as Johan said.

That Dorsey version is a little too sweet for my taste, but kudos for the homemade restoration job.

Ya - that guy does really good work and he never tells how he does it. He works with English issues of American Jazz recordings. Even sides with quiet passages do not defeat him. He gives some information on his other postings, but not much.

The version in the originally posted youtube clip is by the Smoking Time Jazz Club out of New Orleans USA.
