The song is Vol Vistu Gaily Star, originally recorded by Slim Gaillard and Slam Stewart in the late 1930s. It sounds like a modern recording, I don't know the artist.

Jan Savitt Orchestra. Vocal by Bon Bon (aka George Tunnell). Recorded 8/29/1939.

The sound quality is very good on that recording.

I don't have access to youtube at the moment, but from the replies I'm going to venture a guess: Andrew Bird's "Candy Shop" perhaps?

It's a modern take on Slim & Slam's "Vol Vistu Gaily Star"

No, it is Jan Savitt. The recording sound quality is very good, and perhaps the echo in the room makes it sound even better

Well then say "...for an old recording." next time, haha.
