Anyone recognize the recording of JATW used in this contest?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bcfiY69-YA
It starts at about the 4:00 mark.

Thanks,
James

I'm not near my collection, so I have no idea, but I'd like throw out a guess -- John's Idea, Count Basie.....

First time testing out the Shazam app on my new iPhone, and it correctly, I think, identifies this version of "Jumpin' at the Woodside" as being by Benny Goodman from B.G. in Hi-Fi. Sweet!

dang! i psyched myself out of Woodside because it was familiar but different enough to possibly be something else.

I don't have that hi-fi BG, so I wouldn't have gotten it correct anyway I suppose.

thanks jesse.

It's a great album. I highly recommend it for anyone who might not already have it. Love Benny's instrumental version of "Sent For You Yesterday"!

Thanks Jesse. Should have gotten that ID myself--I own that album! Seconded that it's a good one. I regularly use many of those tracks.

You can't recognize the sound of Goodman's clarinet and playing?

No - it's still there.

Awesome event, btw - I know this is off-topic, but it's worth checking out the Joseph Wiggan vs George Reedvid (I think it was the following night)
