So I just kind of dig this version of the song linked below for reasons I can't really explain. I'm sure its something that's right under my nose but for the life of me I can't find it.

The song is indeed "Cole Slaw" by Jesse Stone, found on the great compilation
Original Swingers: Hipsters, Zoots & Wingtips, Vol. 2.
Definitely my favorite version of the song!

I like the Louis Jordan version. It has nasty breaks at the end to fool newbies
