*Open* Unknown version of Clap Hands Here Comes Charlie
I saw a dance performance a few months ago, and I'm trying to find the music played (it was excellent). The words sounded like "Clap hands here comes Harlem". The song title wasn't listed, but the artist was given as The Andrews Sisters.
I've done a bit of research, and I've discovered a popular number called "Clap hands here comes Charlie". There seems to be a lot of versions of this around, but the four or five I've heard so far are about double the speed of the one I heard. I wonder if there is a mid-tempo version of this number by The Andrews Sisters?
Can anyone help me find the original (mid-tempo) music I heard?

Thanks for your help.trev wrote:I have a vague recollection of Benny Goodman doing a mid-tempo version of "Clap Hands Here Comes Charlie", but i may be wrong.
Ella does an up-tempo version with vocals too.
Tempo-wise, the version I'm looking for is similar to this one by Ben Vereen from the Funny Lady Soundtrack -

But the one I heard did sound like The Andrews Sisters
I think I migth have it:
Jimmy Dorsey: Complete 1949-1950 Columbia Master Takes
"Clap Hands Here Comes Charley" features a female and male vocal.

Thanks! That's certainly the tempo I heard, I'm not sure if it's the actual track, but I'm interested enough to have ordered one of the CDs featuring it.trev wrote:I think I migth have it:

It's also on three other albums, as shown here ...
