great topic! I am a bona fide Starbucks addict and I like looking through the Artists Choice CDs - the Ray Charles one has a bunch of good danceable tunes on it.

Is this meant for swing music or can we expand to other music also? I'll list songs that have specific meanings for me:

The sense I got from the original post and from Willie's list is songs that would define you or that would give a person a sense of who or what you are. Or even songs that were critical to you in a particular juncture of your life.
