From 1987 to 1991 I DJed alternative 80's and new wave dance tracks. I did parties and a few night clubs in San Francisco. I still have 400 records sitting in boxes.

It really has no effect on how I DJ to Lindy Hoppers at all.

not really - I was just curious if you were still into lindy hop also - I always had fun dancing with you when you came up to Seattle.

A couple of guys in the lindy scene here go out clubbing on Fri and Sat nights - I've gone out with them a couple of times - it's ok, but I don't like the music when it gets very loud and repetitive.

I do enjoy the soft meditative sounds - I was hanging out at a club before the hard core dancing started and the DJ was playing a nice mellow mix.

I'm not sure I want to part with them yet. about 50% of them are 12" singles, I would say 90% are mid 80's new wave dance tracks that you would not hear on the radio, stuff like Information society, Romeo void, Art of Noise, Propaganda, pre-industrial Ministry, etc, there is some more common stuff like Depeche Mode and the Cure. All of my early industrial stuff was ripped off at a DJ gig, so things like Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy are missing from my collection. The other 10% would be some dancable rap tracks from the mid 80's things like Houdini-the freaks come out at night, Erik B and Rakim, etc

i would be freaking pissed, that is my favorite kind of 80s. if anyone ever stole my 80s industrial, and i found them....they would die.

so you have not re-added that to you collection?
