Check out "The Raggle Taggle," from that CD.

Sorry to hear that. Things have changed in the UK, because previously I couldn't download Amazon mp3s. Hopefully they are gradually working their way around the world.

When you're talking "Complete Jazz Series [Chrono(lo)gical Classics]"
you mean the albums that look like this:

?

If so, I think I'm about to lose control. My credit card will self destruct.
Yes but they look like this now (if you can see this??):

But they should have called it "Blanche Calloway in Chronogy" :D

Just like the Classics CDs, each track has the recording date clearly marked 8)

Really? I tried and still got this:
We are sorry...

We could not process your order. The sale of MP3 Downloads is currently available only to US customers located in the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Or are you talking about Amazon.co.uk?

Yes :) :

Unfortunately, it looks as though it is restricted to UK customers at the moment :( :

Can international customers buy MP3 Music from Amazon.co.uk?
At this time music downloads are only available to UK customers (including The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please continue to check back for additional information on supported locations.

Yes, as on this Willie Bryant Complete Jazz Series 1935 - 1936:

http://www.emusic.com/album/Willie-Brya ... 41979.html

I think all eMusic users can see this information even if you can't download the tracks, so it's useful if you want dates for tracks you already have.

I just noticed that albums from the Dreyfus label have been added:

A discussion on SwingDJs a while back suggested that the Dreyfus releases of Ellington's 40s material had the best sound (though debatable due to the use of fake stereo). Anyway, for the curious:

Dreyfus on eMusic

Albums of Herman, Holiday, Django, Ella, Hawkins, Basie, Bix, Lester, Bird and many more.

I have reorganized all my Emusic lists, they recently increased the maximum size for each list to 500 (used to be 100), so I consolidated my five lists into two lists, sorted them alphabetically (by first word, since that is the only way you can do it using eMusic). I left room to grow.

Going forward, I will make a third list that only includes recent additions, a rolling three month list, sorted by date added. In addition, I plan to beef up the comments even more. I am also toying with the idea of adding a few sub category lists (Christmas music, classic swing, west coast, etc..), right now everything is all thrown in together.

I can't quite find a short, direct url for my lists. Below, I pasted what is in my browser when I see the list, I am not sure if this will work other people. You can try. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks to everybody for contributing to this group, a large portion of the CDs on the list were found by people on this list, and other sources.

If I were a starting DJ, lists like these would have saved me a lot of money at Ameoba, Half.com, and countless other places.

The links didn't work for me.
No way to search for a particular user so created link

http://www.emusic.com/profile/index.htm ... eLindyDogg

(note the nickname is case sensitive)

Then added as Friend - then I can access your profile from my profile.

Then clicked on lists against your profile.

Would be nice to have facility to search for a particular profile of list name.

On December 22nd 2008, Amazon UK added these and a lot more, including loads of 1920s and 1930s Ellington, which is missing from the latest eMusic additions - hopefully these will come with the next batch.
