Great minds think alike BTB - I was just searching for a thread to post my question when up came your thread. A question along a similar line - how much overlap is there between "Cutting Butter" set mentioned above and the
"Americas No 1 Band : The Columbia Years" link

Is it worth possessing both?

None of the live recordings on CD4 of Americas No 1 Band : The Columbia Years" is on the Cutting Butter CD., and there are several other songs that are not on both.
I would say may be 40% of the songs on Americas No 1 Band CD are not in the Cutting Butter CD.
I love this CD Russell, in particularly the live recordings.

Check out the Golden Years CDs. I think there are four of them. I've got 1-3, and I LOVE them. They feature radio broadcasts and such - music made specifically for dancing. Sound quality on most tracks is good enough for most, I'd think.
