Anybody ever play swing versions of Joplin tunes? I've got a couple of versions of "Maple Leaf Rag" that are recognizable, even by non-musicians. I'm not sure how dancers would respond, though.

I heard this on Swing Years and Beyond (the Sat. night swing show on KUOW FM up here) and looked through her playlists - I thought people would dig dancing to it - Harry Roy is a British band leader.

Harry Roy & His Orchestra - Maple Leaf Rag - The King of the Hot-Cha/ASV

She has some great playlists - for those interested in gleaning check it out: http://www.kuow.org/swing_years.asp?

I've played Sidney Bechet's "Maple Leaf Rag" off of "The Legendary Sidney Bechet" and gotten good response.
