Hi all-

Just wondering if you could pass along the call letters or websites of any radio stations in your town that play jazz, swing, ragtime, etc. Just trying to get some airplay for our new CD, and I'd appreciate the help.

THANKS!

Yo Paul.

KUOW 94.9 has a swing era show on Saturday nights, not sure if they play new music - http://www.kuow.org

KPLU 88.5 is the mainstream jazz station in town http://www.kplu.org Ken Wiley plays trombone in our favorite trad jazz band in town, his show is called the "Art of Jazz" on Sunday afternoon - if you send me a demo CD I can give it to him since I see him regularly. PM me for my address.

KBCS 91.3 is another local community college radio show. Bud, from Bud's Jazz Records, does a show on Monday mornings - I could stop by and give him a demo CD too.

Hi Paul,

WKHR FM 91.5 is the only swing, big band, trad. jazz, pop swing radio station in Cleveland.

I heard somw samples from the Boilermakers new CD and really enjoyed it.

I sent a promo request in email 2 or 3 weeks ago. Did you get that?

I'm also looking forward to hearing you live in June at the Balboa events.

WLRN 91.3 FM (Public Radio) www.wlrn.org

WLVE 93.9 FM (Contemporary Jazz) www.love94.com

You'll probably have better luck with the public radio station. Good Luck, Paul!

KBEM 88.5

Jazz 24/7 - one of only 12 in the nation that play Jazz full time. In looking at there schedule just now, I can’t believe I don’t listen to the station more often.

MPR 91.1

We have The Jazz Image on here with Harlem’s old DJ from the hey-day, Leigh Kamman. This guy has the best stories. If you’re ever in town, give him a listen or drop by a jazz venue and start talking to him. He’s a trip. Maybe he’ll get you a gig somewhere. Very nice guy.
